John Sisk & Son in the UK announces increased turnover and highlights strong order book as outlook for 2011 remains positive

John Sisk & Son, the UK operating arm of one of the largest construction-based groups in the UK and Ireland, has today reported strong year on year turnover growth in its annual results for the year ending December 2010.

Turnover has increased to £278m from £161m the previous year, driven by a strategy of leveraging SISK Group capability and resources in sectors such as civil engineering and energy whilst continuing to invest in traditional core areas of expertise.

Major renovation works for Rugby Police Station

John Sisk & Son Ltd (Sisk), one of the largest construction groups in the UK and Ireland, has won the contract from Warwickshire Police to renovate and refurbish Rugby’s Police Station.

The £3.5m contract will take 29 weeks and will be completed in March 2010. The works will see the original 1960s style offices transformed into modern open plan, air conditioned office space fit for 21st century policing.
