Sisk starts on £200m Nestlé coffee factory
John Sisk has started work on Nestlé’s £200m extension to its factory in Tutbury, Derbyshire.
The scheme is the Nestlé group’s largest construction project worldwide and will bring together all of the firm’s UK coffee production, including freeze dried, spray dried and pod technology.

Irish Company win award for work on Foster’s MoreLondon Development
Stone Developments, an Irish Stone company was part of the project team that received a top award from the UK Stone federation last month. The Co. Carlow-based company won the award their role in the MoreLondon project which is situated along the south bank of London's River Thames.
Monster lift sends east London tunnelling machines 40 metres underground
Crossrail has marked a major milestone in the construction of London’s new rail line with the lowering of a 550 tonne tunnelling machine into a 40 metre deep shaft in east London last ahead of the start of tunnelling for Crossrail’s eastern section of the new rail line.
The delicate operation required one of the largest cranes in Europe to lift the equivalent of 280 London taxis.
Perfect weather conditions were needed and the light winds and no rain allowed for Elizabeth to be moved underground.
