Premier Inn, Waterloo

John Sisk & Son is building a 234 bedroom Premier Inn hotel on the site of the Former General Lying In (GLI) Hospital and nurses home in Waterloo.

The nurses home will be demolished and replaced with a 14 storey reinforced concrete frame, while the GLI building will be remodelled and converted with both buildings linked from the basement to the second floor to create the new hotel.

The GLI building is listed and will be subject to careful remodelling. The Heritage Department of Lambeth Council will be consulted regarding all alterations that will be made to it.
